(#kcupdate) Marc Cain comes to the UK

Marc Cain, a German fashion company, has opened its first store in the UK. This new store has been located on George Street in St. Albans and houses the new Spring/Summer collection for 2013. Take a look at my favourite pieces.

Subtle colour palette was used with a neutral print. To brighten it up a bit a brighter colour was used to draw the attentionn to the print of the skirt.

This is an outfit from the Ladybird collection (Theme A) for Spring/Summer 2013.

This collection is available now!

A classic LBD (Little Black Dress) drawn in at the waist to give a more womanly shape to the body and the dress. A simple look that every collection should have because everyone needs an LBD.

This is an outfit from the Fisherman's Girlfriend (Theme B) for Spring/Summer 2013.

This collection is available now!

A striking digital print with bold colour trousers is always going to make a statement. The coordinating colours on the shirts and the trousers make this outfit coherent and the colours used on the shirt brings a very warm summery feel to this outfit and the whole collection.

This is an outfit from the Mystic Garden (Theme C) for Spring/Summer 2013.

This collection is available from Jan 10th!

Visit the Marc Cain Website to take a look at the other collections.

(#kcmoviereview) Bill Cunningham New York

The other morning I woke up and felt like watching a film so I thought let me find a fashion film and write a review for you. So here it is ...

Bill's thirst for finding new fashion on the street is quite inspirational. Running into the middle of the street just to make sure he captures that striking outfit in the right moment.

'The best fashion show is definitely on the street, always has been and always will be.' - Bill Cunningham

I think that I need to venture outside the box and stop being so safe and stop wearing things that everyone else would wear.

'We all get dressed for Bill!' - Anna Wintour

The dedication and the amount of effort Bill puts into every column is remarkable. He makes sure he stays at that computer screen with his editor until the job is done and the job is only done when he's happy, this is normally when the newspaper spread is 'perfect'.

In wind, rain or sunshine Bill is always out finding his next story. It's like he never stops working! It makes me think no matter the weather fashion will never disappear.

'We are all blank canvases when we get up in the morning and we paint ourselves!' - Patrick MacDonald

Bill Cunningham looks like your everyday man with a bike, workers jacket and high vis jacket (at night) but the talent inside of him is one no one could ever replace.

Would you have ever thought that Bill Cunningham had time to go to church? With the amount of time he spends married to his craft I'm surprised he still takes out the time!

Bills style is functional and resourceful. His jacket has many pockets to hold his equipment and belongings and the workman jacket he wears underneath it is cheap and cheerful. Due to the nature of his work he doesn't see the need to buy expensive jackets when his camera is going to rub against it and ruin it. He likes simple down to earth basic things, nothing fancy. I think that this reflects the way he works, the way he lives, and the way he comes across to others in society.

Its nice to know that some of the most influential and well known people in the fashion industry like to live simple well grounded happy lives. For educational purposes I would definitely watch it again to introduce myself to people that I may not have heard of before watching the film.

'He who seeks beauty will find it.' - Bill Cunningham

(#kcwishlist) Obsession ...

On Thursday I went out with no intention of going shopping for myself but just out of curiosity I went into Boots to see how helpful the staff were in helping me smell gooooood.

Wandering around I got the Dahlia Noir Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum testers from one sales assistant. Result!

Taking another look by myself another sales assistant asked if they could help me. At first I didn't really want there help but I thought I might as well as I have time on my hands. After samplng sweet perfumes I found what I was looking for!

Lancome La Vie est Belle Eau du Parfum

This perfume is no longer a want it is a need!

If you're looking for a new perfume go out and smell this one you may just fall in love with it the way I did!!!

(#kcwishlist) The William Tempest Clutch

Quite a while ago I was supposed to write a post about the William Tempest Collection for River Island but with all the work and the whole rebranding of the formerly lorenjlove.blogspot.co.uk to the now klosetcloset.blogspot.co.uk I just couldn't find the time.

After thinking to write a post and seeing the collection in River Island itself I was really shocked to see William Tempest following me on twitter. I definitely had to follow back!!!

Away from this, the clutch was the item that stood out for me the most because it wasn't too far out of my comfort zone. However, if I did have to go a little out my comfort zone I would wear the sequin top.

(#kcstyle) Too over the top?

I was looking through one of my recent Elle magazines and one page really inspired me (page on the left) and I saw a reoccurring theme of fully embellished outfits. So I had a quick look in several other shops that sell embellished items that are attainable in the average persons price bracket.

I didn't want to put anything up that I wouldn't wear myself even though I did come across a few items I found interesting in the shops but I didn't include them.

I hope you like the short selection I have made and the details of all the items included are listed below.

Can you ever get too over the top with embellishments?
