Kids @ Schuh

Just under a week away before October surfaces on our calenders and it's got considerably colder even though summer hasn't been too great in the UK. The rain has been ridiculous and I think I've been using my windscreen wipers a little too much, but hopefully today is dry all day.

Schuh is launching their Schuh Kids store on October 7th  in Braehead, Schuh Kids should also be launching shortly after in Lakeside shopping centre and Liverpool ONE.

The new footwear collection consists of three different ranges (crib, toddler and junior), these have to be my favourites:

Hello Kitty Vans

Bailey Bow UGGs

White Converse All Stars

Navy Converse All Stars

 Black Converse All Stars

Navy Vans

Inspired by Baroque

Being really ill these last couple of days all I've wanted to do is sleep. Having a two hour nap after college all I could think about was blogging as I didn't have time to yesterday but now I have time I'ddone no research whatsoever.

About half an hour ago I thought to look at what new items Alexander McQueen has brought out this season and I felt really inspired by this dress. I'm not normally one to like skirts or dresses touching the knee or one to like belts but this dress stood out like a sore thumb.

I love how I can associate the pattern on this dress to the ironwork gallery in the V&A. The continuously flowing pattern makes the dress appeal soft but the belt placed around the waist adds a harsher tone to the whole outfit.

'When the opposites meet - hard and soft'

Studying an Art Diploma this year and being well into the work already on the third day I need a wide range of inspirations so here's the first of the month. Also check out my google+ page where I am going to try to upload what I do in class everyday or I will upload outcomes part way through it's process and finished.

Back to the good old days ...

The most famous fashion doll of them all and has been around since 1959?

Can you guess who it is? It's Barbie!!!

From 1959 Barbie has done every job possible, being trained as an aerobics instructor and then having a career in the medicine, military, political field and more. Barbie is definitely not a one hit wonder, she's been in houses for years and hopefully will be for many more. I think of Barbie, the fashion doll, as more of a household essential and a family tradition for the girls.

Reading about Barbie sponsoring Louise Gray's upcoming collection, which is showcased on September 17, I wanted to reminisce on the good old days with my Barbie's. I remember having many different outfits with different heels and handbags to coordinate with them as well. As part of this collection three of the looks will be inspired by the toy manufacturers Mattel.

Why not play some barbie games with the kids of the family.

7B : The Steve Madden and Kari Sigerson Collaboration

In Spring 2013, Steve Madden is collaborating with Kari Sigerson on a new footwear line called 7B. This new line will be sold at Barneys in the USA but hopefully those who don't live in the USA can get them shipped over somehow or even fly over to get what we want!

Apart from this new collaboration Steve Madden has many other amazing products online which I would love to have in my wardrobe. Not sure if I would want to wear them because they look too good to get dirty!!!

These have to be my favourites:
