(#kcstyle) Stockholm Fashion Week Street Style!

Photo taken from fashiontoast.com
I absolutely love this photo. I don't know what attracted me to it but I just had to share it with you. It could have been the red bicycles positioned in the back but the pop of colour bought to my attention must have been due to the muted colour palette of the outfit or what's remaining of the background. It also reminds me of the recent display of bicycles lined up in Tate Modern by an African artist called Meschac Gaba (picture seen below).

(#kcwardrobe) Pre Take Off!

I packed for my holiday just over two weeks ago now and I whilst I was away I was trying to find the time to sit down and blog but as you see I never got round to it. Now I'm back and I have some time on my hands after unpacking I thought that I should show you one of the best practical buys before I went away. I love my suitcase and I want to go on holiday over and over again, it makes me feel like a traveller because of the departure board design.

I have never known myself to pack light so I definitely know that this suitcase can hold over 20kg depending on what you pack in it I guess. I think I was able to pack over three weeks worth of clothes and I was only out of the country for 12 days, bad I know, but you never know I may have had to change more than once a day depending on where I was going.

As its the first week of the wimbledon tennis tournaments I thought it was only right to blog about one of the most noticeable things about the tournaments. If you haven't guessed it already it's the fact they are all in white!

If you haven't got into wearing white yet why not fill out a small section of your wardrobe with white!!

Knowing that I'm definitely going to uni in September to study fashion makes me want to come out of my comfort zone even more.

A few of these items I wouldn't be able to wear every day (like item 6 and 10) due to the London weather but the others may find there way into my wardrobe when I do my next big shop!

(#kcstyle) Sexy Sleep ...

No matter who you are a good night sleep is so vital so why not sleep in style with LC Lauren Conrad Bedding!!!

Lauren's new bedding collection is very feminine and focuses on details such as ruffles and floral prints. Watching Lauren's progress all the way from the days she was on Laguna Beach has made me admire her progress and it reassures me that the path I want in life can really happen. What Lauren has achieved since coming off The Hills is amazing, it's the success that everyone should aim for!

These are my favourite pieces of bedding from the new collection:

(#kcstyle) Second Skin

I was browsing through the new clothes on the All Saints website this morning before I start my holiday shopping next week. I've actually started to think of clothes as a second skin. Clothes cover the essentials and can also define your creative flare in most cases.

I chose a selection of pieces from All Saints new arrivals as they can be worn alternatively whatever the weather forecast may be to be honest. That's what I love about clothes!!! VERSATILITY
Take a look and see what All Saints has to offer you this summer...

(#kcstyle) Are you a Hugo Man?

I don't normally post about a lot of menswear but now and again it only seems right because I have a lot of men in the family. I was on Hugo Boss this morning and saw a couple new things that just caught my eye. I'm trying to stop being comfortable in my wardrobe choices and the way I think about style recently as being a fashion student requires a focused but open mind.

I picked out a few options but to be worn alternatively depending on the occasion and weather.

(#kcstyle) Everyday can be dress up day!

I'm going back to college on Monday and I was thinking about those random days during the week where I used to go out of my way in the morning to make myself feel and look better than normal. Maybe if we all did that everyday we could feel better about ourselves and more confident because if you look good and feel good then I think that's one of the best combinations in the world.

(#kcstyle) Too over the top?

I was looking through one of my recent Elle magazines and one page really inspired me (page on the left) and I saw a reoccurring theme of fully embellished outfits. So I had a quick look in several other shops that sell embellished items that are attainable in the average persons price bracket.

I didn't want to put anything up that I wouldn't wear myself even though I did come across a few items I found interesting in the shops but I didn't include them.

I hope you like the short selection I have made and the details of all the items included are listed below.

Can you ever get too over the top with embellishments?

(#kcstyle) Black Beauty

You should never be afraid to wear all black! With a hint of colour an all black outfit won't look so dark for example you can add a belt that is a more striking colour than your outfit (seen in the picture on the left.).

<<< Get the look

A black skater skirt should be a wardrobe staple for this season as it can pretty much go with any top that you already have. if you're going for the effortless look  wear a loose shirt with pockets or a sleeveless shirt with minimal detail. In the picture Pretty Polly suspender tights are worn which draw the eye to the legs and then it diverts the attention to the feet where you see Desert Boots.

In the image above you can see:
Black oversized patch pocket shirt (top left),
Black metal trim sleeveless shirt (top right),
Brown leopard print skinny belt ,
Black ponte skater skirt ,
Black Pretty Polly suspender tights ,
Desert Boot
