(#klosetcloset) The First of Many!!!

I thought I'd share with you what I've been getting up to recently. Today I just had my tutorial for all my uni work up to this date and I made this garment as part of my work. I really enjoyed it and I would like to say that it is only one of more to come.

This was a project set to test us to see if we could reproduce a garment without direct help from tutors.

Above: One of the original images we were given as a starting point.

Keep a look out!

(#klosetcloset) The Start Of A New Life ...

I've been really bad lately when it's come to blogging as a lot of things have taken over my life such as summer homework for university, moving and just simply getting settled. I'm still settling in to uni life as it's only the end of the first week but I'm trying to blog much more regularly as I'm studying fashion so it shouldn't be that hard. I just have to make time!

It's taking me so long to type as I have a wrist brace on but the pain will be worth it in the end if I'm able to post today hopefully it doesn't aggravate my tendons and not allow them to heal as quickly as possible. Enough of my self pity though, it's time to welcome my new uni life in and let the productive academic year begin.

(#kcevents) UCA Epsom End Of Year Show

About a week ago me and my mum went to the UCA Epsom open day to find out a bit more about the uni courses and accommodation. Coincidentally there was also a show going on which I anticipated to be small but it was actually quite lengthy. A lengthy exhibition/gallery to me is never perceived as a bad thing as it automatically means that there is a range of work from a variety of perspectives.

Take a look at the rest of the exhibition highlights ...

(#kcevents) UCA Epsom @ Graduate Fashion Week

This year I was lucky enough to get three tickets to attend Graduate Fashion Week yesterday. I had tickets to see the 8pm showing which was UCA Epsom's show and what was the most exciting about watching the show was the thought of my collection being on the runway one day. In September I should be going to UCA Epsom so it was really useful to see what could be produced at the end of the three year course.

All the collections were visually exciting and complex. Maybe it seems like that to me because I haven't started studying fashion to the extent these graduates have at UCA.
