J. Crew has collaborated with Friends of the High Line to produce a charitable capsule collection which consists of clothing and accessories. This collection is set to launch tomorrow, July 24, in selected J. Crew stores and online at the High Line Shop and JCrew.com.
The products aim to celebrate the story of the High Line; an elevated freight railway saved from demolition and transformed into a public park on Manhattan's West Side.
Creative designers got together to create a range of designs that have been transferred onto t-shirts and sweatshirts for men, women and children to promote the High Line. The collection features photography by Joel Sternfeld; freight trains; the High Line's logo, designed by Paula Scher of Pentagram; botanical illustrations by George Olson of the American Society of Botanical Artists; and illustrations of the High Line by children's author Peter Brown.
Prices range from $15 to $78 and 100% of the proceeds go to Friends of the High Line.
